Your Earnings as an Ambassador

As an Ambassador hosting a trip, you earn in two ways: a complimentary seat when your group reaches the minimum size, and commission on every booking your group makes.

Your free seat

Each operator sets a minimum number of paid seats required to confirm the departure — most start at 6 paid travellers, though some tours require more. Once that threshold is reached, your spot on the trip is complimentary with no upfront costs at any point. The exact minimum is shown on each tour listing before you request to host.

Commission per booking

You earn a percentage of the tour price for every traveller in your group who completes their trip. The commission rate is shown on each tour listing (for example, a tour at €961 per person with a 14% commission rate earns you approximately €134 per seat). On average, Ambassadors earn around $180 per booking depending on the basket-size.

Commission also applies to any bookings made through your affiliate link within 90 days of someone clicking it — so if a member of your audience books any tour after seeing your content, you still earn.

When do you get paid?

Commission is paid to your TourRadar Wallet 1 business day after the trip ends. From there you can withdraw to your bank account.

What if the group doesn't reach the minimum?

Each operator sets a cancellation cut-off deadline — a number of days before departure by which you must let the operator know if the trip needs to be cancelled due to low bookings. This deadline is shown on each tour listing.

• Cancelled before the cut-off: No cancellation fees apply to you or any of your travellers.

• Cancelled after the cut-off: Cancellation fees apply to all confirmed bookings, including yours.
