What is TourRadar Meets?
TourRadar Meets is a private group chat that connects you with your fellow travellers before your trip begins. It gives you a space to say hello, ask questions, swap tips, and get to know a few names before day one.
How do I join TourRadar Meets?
Your group is created automatically, so there is nothing you need to set up. It is easy to join the conversation, either right inside the TourRadar app or on the TourRadar Community site, and when your group is ready we will send you a message letting you know how to get started.
Who is in your Meets group?
Your group brings together travellers who booked this same tour and departure date through TourRadar.
Some people travelling on your tour may have booked through a different company, so they will not appear in your group. That is completely normal, and you will still meet everyone in person once your trip begins.
TourRadar and your operator are not part of this group. The group is designed for you to get to know your fellow travelers. If you have specific questions about your tour, you should still contact your operator directly.
Why connect before you go
Getting to know a few of your fellow travellers early can make the start of your trip feel that little bit easier. It is a relaxed way to:
Introduce yourself and put a few names to faces before you arrive
Ask questions and share tips about the destination - what’s everyone packing? What research have others done?
Get to know the people you will be sharing the experience with
Build a bit of excitement together as the countdown begins
Even a quick hello goes a long way, so jump in and say a few words when your group opens.
When will I get access to my group?
Your Meets group is set up around 30 days before your departure date, as long as at least two travellers are booked on the same tour and departure. Once it is ready, you will receive an email letting you know, with everything you need to join.
If you book closer to your departure date, or after the group has already been created, you will simply be added to the existing group.
How do I access my group?
On the web
Sign in at community.tourradar.com/login using the same email address you used to make your booking. Once you are logged in, open the My Messages tab to find your group.
In the TourRadar app
Open the TourRadar app, go to your booking, and click the ‘Chat with Group’ section to find your Meets group.
What if I change my departure date?
If you move to a different departure date, you will be removed from your original group and added to the group for your new date, if one has been created.
Can I leave my group?
Yes. You can leave a group at any time using the Leave Group option in the app or on the community site.
Can I add the people I am travelling with?
Only the lead traveller on a booking (the person who made it) is added to the group automatically. If you booked for others, such as a partner, friend, or family member, they can join too. Here is how:
Make sure they have a TourRadar Community account. They can create one at community.tourradar.com/login.
Once they are signed in, they can send a message to TourRadar_Support in the Community asking to be added to your group. To do this, type "TourRadar_Support" into the search bar on the Community site, then select Message.
We will check the request and add them to your group.
I cannot find my group - what should I do?
First, make sure you are signing in with the same email address you used to book your tour. This is the most common reason a group does not appear.
There might also not be a group yet if no other travellers have booked the same tour and departure date through TourRadar, or if your departure is still more than 30 days away.
